Thieves Market Vintage, Antique & Handmade Flea Market Seller Rules and Regulations

These are the terms under which you are allowed to sell at the event.

1 - SET UP & MOVE OUT - Seller set up is between 6:00 & 7:00 AM. Do NOT begin set up until instructed to do so by attendant. (attendant not present until 6:00AM. Absolutely no vehicles may enter the sellers area after 8:00AM. The market is open to the public from 8AM to 3PM. Sellers may not begin packing up before 3PM and may not exit the show before 3PM. An attendant will come around and give instructions on Move out procedures. Packing items and taking them to your vehicle prior to 3pm will result in a permanent ban from future markets.
TRUE STORY: Vendors have started showing up at 5am, this last October, an early bird who completely overlooked the wait for attendant rule, began setting up in the wrong lot and had to take everything down and move. Your position in the market is not guaranteed with your arrival time. As far as move out goes, DO NOT go get your vehicle until an attendant has come around and discussed with you. We always enter the aisle from the East and exit to the West, watch the movie "Mr. Mom", Michael Keaton explains it well.

2 - CLEAN UP - Sellers are required to remove ALL items from their space. No items may be left on the premises. If you brought it in, you must take it with you when you leave regardless of condition. Do not place your trash in the public trash cans. Trash, boxes, cigarette butts, zip ties and all other debris must be picked up.
TRUE STORY: For whatever reason, people bring mirrors and glass, break mirrors and glass and do not want to transport them home because they are messy and or dangerous. They believe it all ends there. Result, one of us has to pick up glass, remove mirror in our vehicle, even bagged glass pokes through and cuts people. We have been cut! Please, we ask you to take your stuff with you, broken or unwanted, doesn't matter. You pay for a space, not for a cleaning service. Take it out with you, do NOT place in trash cans or by trash cans.

3 - REFUNDS - There are absolutely no refunds, exchanges or rain checks given.

4 - SPACES - Each space is approximately 8.5 x 18 feet deep. ONLY ONE vehicle will be allowed in per seller. Sellers MUST turn off their ignition and drop off merchandise in their space then park their vehicle in the vendor parking lot. Sellers renting or bringing trucks should arrive early, unload and move the truck out of the market so as to not block other vendors.
TRUE STORY: A lady showed up in a truck, pulling a trailer, with a friend in a truck following her. When they pulled up in front of her parking spaces to unload, they were blocking 10 spaces. This is what we refer to as "Excessive Linearity". If you have a friend with you, have them park in the shoppers lot until you unload one vehicle, then remove said vehicle and retrieve the next.

TRUE STORY: We had one guy who lost it and drove his truck into the market back when we were in Cave Creek because he sat there all day and his Frankenstein heads and snowmen that he had made were not selling. There is no crystal ball as to what will sell and what won't. People are people. One thing we do know, they want plenty of interesting things to dig through. Let them use their imaginations a little. It's a flea market, made for modern day archeologists. They like the hunt, make it full, make it interesting. Don't insult them with stuff you wouldn't even look at.
